The highlight of our summer: Creation Fest NW 2013
Creation Fest is a 4 day music CELEBRATION of the Christian faith. There is a Northeast Creation in Pennsylvania and one in Northwest located in Washington.
History of Creation Music Fest
We settled in among the thousands in attendance.
Arm tattoos with the festival schedule. Faith volunteered to be our social director. She soon regretted it as we constantly pulled on her arm to see who we’d be hearing next.
Building 429: One of my FAVORITES! They give a great show and since it was still light out, a great photo-op!
I loved watching the signing of the songs.
What’s a celebration without swag!
This was our first experience with Family Force 5…
My family became INSTANT fans!
During Family Force 5′s set, the clouds rolled in, displaying a gorgeous sky but bringing the threat of a thunderstorm.
Tobymac, Friday night’s headliner!
Tobymac puts on an awesome show, but another show started up during his set…
The festival is held in a valley and the lightning storm began to circle it.
The candle lighting ceremony, beautiful alone, became even more powerful with the added lightning. What an incredible way to end Day 1!
Day 2
Some of the festival fun. Unlike an indoor concert, all kinds of activities take place between and during the sets.
This little girl and her sister “flew” around for hours!
I had to protect my camera from various Frisbees, footballs, and the ever-present Beachball!

An added bonus… Another gorgeous sunset!
The night wrapped up with hundreds pouring into the Prayer tent. It was so moving seeing people gather in prayer.
A huge firework show closed the festival in colorful CELEBRATION of faith!
As we shut the door on our trip to Creation 2013, I asked the usual question: “Been there, done that? or Been there, Do again?”
The answer: a UNANIMOUS: “Creation 2014… HERE WE COME!”
